Summary
We are open to appointing either a clinically-focused leader (Pharmacist) or an operationally-focused leader (non-clinical background). Must have primary care experience and experience at an operations level. Key Responsibilities Lead regional operations across multiple contracts Ensure safe, effective, and consistent service delivery Monitor KPIs, contract delivery, and service outputs Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning Ensure compliance with NHS, CQC, and governance standards Build strong relationships with GP Practices, PCNs, ICBs, and NHS partners Identify opportunities for service improvement and growth Your Focus Will Include: Operational Leadership & Service Delivery Lead regional operations across multiple contracts Ensure safe, effective, and consistent service delivery Embed best practice and standardisation across sites Work with clinical leads to improve pathways and service models Performance & Commercial Management Monitor KPIs, contract delivery, and service outputs Identify and address underperformance Oversee utilisation, efficiency, and financial performance Identify opportunities for growth and service expansion People Leadership & Workforce Development Line manage Senior and Lead Pharmacists / operational leads Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning Drive performance, accountability, and team development Lead appraisals, PDPs, and ongoing development Governance, Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with NHS, CQC, and internal standards Oversee audits, quality assurance, and service reviews Manage incidents, complaints, and continuous improvement Clinical Route Experience in Primary Care (PCN/GP/NHS) Strong clinical knowledge and leadership capability Focus on clinical governance, mentoring, and patient outcomes Core Requirements Degree level education or equivalent experience 3+ years in a senior leadership or operational role Strong understanding of Primary Care and NHS structures Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills Why Join Us?
