Summary
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Help Desk calls in a timely manner and in line with DS standards and Service Level Agreements relation to server infrastructure issues. Responsibility for gatekeeping the calls to ensure the team maintain the SLAs. Ensure the performance levels and the provision of IT Infrastructure services meets agreed service levels. Minimise system downtime by providing pro-active monitoring by detecting and reporting issues before they impact on the trust and ensuring the IT Infrastructure is current, resilient and secure and urgently resolving when problems arise. Deliver against the priorities for the ongoing growth, maintenance, upgrade and replacement of IT Infrastructure components in line with Trust risk appetite and business demand. Contribute and support the effective delivery of IT Infrastructure projects. Contribute and support the cloud server infrastructure used at the trust. Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers with a focus on ensuring the IT Infrastructure technology services remain compliant with standards, Trust Security Policy, ISO27001 and that KPIs are met. Including the procurement of new systems and that they are fit for purpose. Assist investigating security incidents adhering to NHS Digital Standards. Develop, maintain procedures and documentation of server systems under the control of Digital services. Obtain quotes from suppliers, make recommendations to line manager on most appropriate solutions, and adhere to the trust procurement process. Ensure adherence to the IT Infrastructure Strategy, standards and processes ensuring consistency, optimisation, continuous improvement and best practice are embedded in IT Infrastructure processes. Contribute to the development of a culture of high engagement, where staff are empowered and entrusted to provide the best services and care for patients. Contributes to continuous improvement within the IT Infrastructure community of practice, recommending technical developments to improve performance of the IT Infrastructure to better meet the trust needs. Participate in the out of hours on-call rota and out of hours maintenance tasks. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
