Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our busy structural steel engineering business. This is an important role helping to maintain a safe, clean and organised environment for our factory and welfare facilities.
We design, manufacture and construct high quality steel structures including industrial buildings, aircraft hangars and their electro-mechanical doors, warehouses, grandstands, multi-storey buildings, car parks and bridges, as well as defence equipment, manual and electric roller shutter doors, windows and curtain walling.
Duties will include:
• Thorough cleaning of workers’ mess room after break times and toilets throughout the day
• Cleaning of office welfare facilities
• Emptying bins throughout the factory
• Segregating and disposing of waste correctly
• Maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the working day, including wiping down main touch points (machinery controls, door handles, etc)
• Basic external maintenance duties, including weeding and tidying
The ideal candidate will:
• Be dependable and able to work independently
• Take pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Have good attention to detail
• Be willing to work in an industrial / factory environment and take on additional tasks as required
Experience:
• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable
• Experience within a factory or industrial environment would be an advantage
