The Driver Services Directorate at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) delivers essential driver services that support road safety across Great Britain. Our teams provide high‑volume, customer‑focused services, underpinned by strong leadership, effective resource management, and continuous improvement.
This role is key to developing and managing relationships with a network of vocational and motorcycle driving test business customers.

As a Business Account Manager, you will develop and manage relationships with a network of vocational (large goods and public service vehicles) and, motorcycle driving test business customers to ensure DVSA’s testing provision meets market demand and is commercially viable. You will use management information to improve customer service, business efficiency and road safety outcomes for the agency and its customers. You will work with customers to understand their aspirations, growth models and resource requirements.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
Gain an in-depth knowledge of the supply and demand needs of the customer.Provide an overarching view of current and future testing capacity/ provision for the agreed area of service providers.Analyse and provide data and information to managers, to enable a holistic view of testing service delivery to inform strategic decision making and measurement of achievement against KPIs.Enable testing services to be delivered in the most effective way, balancing cost, quality, and customer demands.Support DVSA’s standards, compliance, safety, and security commitments through adherence to and championing of policy, procedures and development requirements.Work collaboratively with colleagues across DVSA to activate new customers and ensure a positive start up experience for them.For further information on the role, please read the attached role profile.
