Summary
Support the environment management team by maintaining effective and efficient information systems and provide administration support to enable the team to meet their business targets.
Receive and respond to enquiries, acting as a point of contact for the team, to ensure that all incidents and requests are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner in line with Environment Agency policies and procedures.
Update and maintain the team's filing system (paper and electronic) to ensure that information is accurate, up-to-date and available for use.
Assist team members with the compilation of case files, checking that all the necessary information is included and complies with legislation, so that cases can be successfully prosecuted.
Consider and process simple permit determinations, in line with current guidance and procedures, to protect the environment from potential damage.
Support and process procurement requests for the team to ensure that appropriate equipment and supplies are available to enable them to perform their roles.
All our officers take part in incident response duties. You’ll receive full training and support, including flexible working arrangements to ensure this commitment is manageable for you. This may attract an additional payment.

Experience/skills required
Excellent customer service skills.
Good telephone skills.
Attention to detail, able to work on own initiative.
Computer literacy is essential.
Business administration skills.
Educated to “A” Level or equivalent in appropriate subjects
Drivers licence is desirable but not essential
