Summary
Primary Teaching Assistant
Academics are recruiting confident and adaptable Primary Teaching Assistants to support our partner primary schools across South East London, including mainstream settings and specialist SEN provisions. We offer flexible daily supply opportunities, with the potential for long-term and permanent positions for the right candidates.
This role may involve supporting pupils in mainstream classrooms, providing 1:1 or small group support, or assisting children with SEN and additional needs within specialist provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage pupil confidence, behaviour and engagement
What We're Looking For:
- A confident and proactive Primary Teaching Assistant
- Experience in primary school and/or SEN settings
- A flexible and reliable approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
