SEN Early Years Practitioner - Poole
Pay: From £14.25 per hour Start Date: ASAP
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be supporting a warm, inclusive early years setting in Poole. They are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team and provide high‑quality support for children aged 0-5 with a range of additional needs.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development, with a particular interest in supporting children with SEND, including Autism, Speech & Language delay, sensory needs, and social‑emotional development.
What You'll Be Doing
As an SEN Early Years Practitioner, you will:
- Support daily routines and learning activities within the early years environment
- Provide nurturing, individualised support for children with additional needs
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting
- Assist in planning and delivering age‑appropriate, SEN‑focused activities
- Encourage children's communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Communicate positively with parents and carers
- Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times
What We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
- Have experience supporting children in an early years or SEN setting
- Bring warmth, patience, and a child‑centred approach
- Understand the EYFS framework and early child development
- Communicate clearly and kindly with families and colleagues
- Are reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
Requirements
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Provide two professional references from the past 24 months
- Be available for full‑time hours, Monday to Friday
