Summary
REGISTERED CARE MANAGER
We are looking for a Registered Care Manager to lead one of our adult residential services in Royston, Hertfordshire.
This is a key leadership role within a values led social care charity supporting adults with autism and mental health needs.
As a Registered Care Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the quality, safety and performance of the service.
You will lead a team of support workers and senior staff to deliver consistent, person centred support that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for CQC compliance, safeguarding oversight, safer recruitment practices and building a stable, values driven team.
We are looking for a Registered Care Manager who understands that culture and retention are just as important as processes and paperwork.
This Registered Care Manager role suits someone who is confident leading inspections, managing performance and holding clear expectations, while also being visible, approachable and supportive to staff and the people we support.
What you will be doing as a Registered Care Manager:
o Leading and developing your staff team
o Ensuring full CQC compliance and readiness
o Managing budgets and occupancy
o Driving safe recruitment and robust onboarding
o Embedding values based practice across the service
o Overseeing safeguarding and risk management
o Working closely with families and external professionals
o Maintaining high standards of documentation and care planning
As a Registered Care Manager, you will play a key role in recruitment decisions.
Every applicant completes a values based evaluation and screening questions at application stage.
You will interview using a standard values based framework, with questions shared in advance to ensure fairness and accessibility.
Final hiring decisions sit with you as the manager.
We are not looking for someone who relies purely on qualifications or length of service.
Success as a Registered Care Manager in our organisation is defined by values alignment, safeguarding behaviour, reliability and your ability to build and retain a strong team.
What we are looking for:
o Experience as a Registered Care Manager or Deputy ready to step up
o Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding
o Experience supporting adults with autism and or mental health needs
o Proven ability to lead teams in a residential setting
o Solid knowledge of UK safer recruitment and employment law
o Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or working towards)
o Right to work in the UK without sponsorship

This Registered Care Manager position requires regular on site presence.
