Situated in Leyland, Lancashire, the College is near the M6, M61 and M65 and within commuting distance of Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District.The Runshaw College Supported Internship programme is a partnership between DFN Project Search, Progress Housing Group, Lancashire County Council and the Department for Work and Pensions.A Supported Internship Programme is designed for young people aged 16-24 with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The goal of this programme is to support the transition from education to a position of paid employment (16+ hours per week).The key focus of the Employability Coach is to ensure that the people we support:• Have the opportunity to develop relevant skills for employment• Gain work experience in a large business• Increase their independence• Achieve their aspirations• Are empowered to make decisions and choices around their future employment• Are kept safeYou will work alongside a tutor, supporting the intern throughout planned work experience within the host business/businesses, as they gain skills relevant for employment.
