Summary
Price & Propositions Delivery Manager - Funeralcare
£51,000 - £55,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre - in this role you'll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy)
We're looking for a Price & Propositions Delivery Manager to take end to end ownership of the delivery of our pricing and propositions roadmap across Co op Funeralcare. This role blends commercial pricing expertise, proposition change delivery, and strong stakeholder management. You'll be the guardian of our master pricing file (ensuring accuracy and governance) and you'll also play a key role in turning propositions from ideas into operational reality, ensuring they land smoothly for colleagues and deliver real value for clients.
Why this role matters
You'll work across our funeral business and pre paid funeral plan business, helping us build fairer, more transparent and more competitive offerings for clients. This is a hands on delivery role, ideal for someone who can confidently move between data, delivery and people, turning complex pricing and proposition changes into streamlined, well communicated and well executed releases.
What you'll do
* Lead the price and propositions release cycle as a disciplined delivery programme: managing end‑to‑end price and proposition change delivery, dependencies, risks, timelines, comms and governance through to post release review. This activity is critical to deliver revenue targets
* Own pricing and proposition data, including governance, version control and continuous improvement of the master pricing file, and ensuring pricing is accurate across all channels (including third party cremation and burial price CMA checks)
* Build and maintain commercial and pricing models using Excel, combining data, insight and market trends to support decision‑making
* Work closely with Propositions, Commercial, Insight, Finance, Operations, Marketing and frontline teams to bring new and improved services to market, ensuring pricing and value are clear and commercially sound, and changes are well‑designed, well‑communicated and delivery‑ready
* Translate complex pricing and proposition changes into clear, engaging messages that colleagues can understand and deliver confidently so that change activity sticks
* Use data, feedback and performance insight to evaluate the impact of changes and identify opportunities to improve client value and commercial outcomes
* Ensure pricing and proposition changes are executed accurately and in line with governance, approval and regulatory requirements
What you'll bring
We're committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you'll need to bring:
* Experience in pricing, propositions, commercial analytics or change delivery, ideally within a regulated or complex service environment
* Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent releases or change initiatives end to end
* Advanced Excel capability and analytical skills, including building and maintaining pricing and commercial models
* Strong attention to detail to manage financial and regulatory risk
* An understanding of pricing governance, master data management, and regulatory considerations
* Excellent communication skills; you're a confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Team player with strong stakeholder management skills, including skilled at influencing, building trust and bringing others with you through change
* Proactive and delivery focused, with a strong sense of ownership
Why Co-op?

We're an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we're powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you'll also receive:
* An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
* 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
* A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
* Private healthcare
* Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
* 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
* Stream - early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
* Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
* 24/7 colleague support service
* Training and support for your development and career progression
* Cycle-to-work scheme
