Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group, supporting regional businesses across the UK and strategic projects. We have full design, construct and commissioning capability across core sectors including Custodial, Commercial, Health & Science. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are fully compliant to specifications, in line with planned costs and programme, working collaboratively within successful project teams.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering compliant, safe and efficient electrical engineering solutions. Your day to day will include:
-Ensuring all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law
-Reviewing designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction
-Managing robust change control procedures and implementing quality control measures
-Providing leadership and guidance to project team members within your area of responsibility
-Contributing to the identification of project risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation and enhancement
What are we looking for?
This role of Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:
-You're technically astute in Electrical Services and safety, holding a relevant industry accredited qualification
-You hold CSCS and SMSTS accreditation as a minimum
-You have experience working collaboratively within project teams to deliver successful outcomes
-You're able to understand budgets, commercial priorities and make sound decisions based on clear criteria
-You're committed to promoting wellbeing and creating an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought is encouraged
