Summary

This covers the full range of dental specialties, oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as oral medicine. Leeds Dental Institute provide routine dental treatments as part of dental undergraduate training. It also runs four outreach teaching centres in South Leeds, Bradford, Chapel Allerton and Hull to provide dental care in the community and as part of the learning experience. What you will bring to the role The jobholder will be undertaking a training programme within the Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (LTHT). The training will be delivered through formal education delivered by the School of Dental Care Professionals situated within Leeds Dental Institute, and clinical placements. They will be involved in providing direct and indirect care for patients in support of and supervised by a registered dental professional. It is expected that the apprentice will commit to self-directed study and successfully complete the training programme within the contract period. The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care. The jobholder will work under supervision within a clinical area undertaking routine clinical duties in the Leeds Dental Institute and Outreach departments, caring for patients whilst undergoing the training programme.
