Overview
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Subcontract Payments Clerk to join their team in the Maidstone area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-focused finance professional to step into a fast-paced environment and make an immediate impact, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing subcontractor payments accurately and efficiently
- Managing and reconciling payment runs
- Handling subcontractor queries and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes and deadlines
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a subcontract payments or similar finance role
- Experience within the residential housebuilding sector is essential
- Working knowledge of COINS system (highly desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
