Summary
Be Personnel is currently recruiting Food Production Operatives to join our client, a global leader in seafood production and the largest producer of Atlantic salmon worldwide. • Starting rate: £13.20 per hour
• Overtime: £19.80 per hour
• Skilled Operator: £13.60 per hour
• Advanced Operator: £14.34 per hour
With structured training, you’ll have the opportunity to progress quickly and increase your earnings as you gain experience.
Shift Patterns
Choose from the following shift options:
Option 1: 2-2-3 Continental Shift (12-hour shifts)
06:00 – 18:30
Rotating pattern offering regular days off
Option 2: Monday to Thursday
06:00 – 17:00
Long weekends every week
The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As a Production Operative, you’ll play a key role in preparing high-quality salmon products for customers across the UK and beyond. Your duties will include:
Working on a fast-paced production line handling fresh, smoked, and infused salmon
Preparing, trimming, slicing, and packing products to strict quality standards
Ensuring all products meet food safety and hygiene regulations
Performing quality checks to maintain consistency and customer satisfaction
Keeping your work area clean and compliant with health & safety guidelines
Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets
This is a hands-on role in a chilled environment, so you should be comfortable working on your feet and handling food products throughout your shift.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from candidates who:
Have experience in food production, manufacturing, or other manual roles (preferred but not essential)
Are reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Can work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Have good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Are physically capable of standing for long periods and performing manual tasks
Can be flexible with shifts depending on business needs
Full training is provided, so a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
