Summary
For further information, please refer to the detailed Job Description and Person Sepcification The Deputy Divisional Director posts will deputise for the Director of Operations when required. Strategic and Operational Management Ensure that effective operational management arrangements are in place, ensuring: - Delivery of efficient and productive work processes and systems to meet/exceed local /national targets- Ensuring cohesive working practices within the division and in collaboration with the other Divisions of the Trust. Ensure business objectives are met, including those derived from local SLAs and Trust Business Plan Ensure Cancer Services is able to meet all national and local performance standards taking corrective action where necessary. Service Planning and Finance Plan specialist service bids and business cases in conjunction with multidisciplinary team, patients, carers and Finance and submit in line with the Trust/external requirements To work with finance, the Clinical Business Units and other providers to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are effectively implemented and managed Clinical Governance and Risk Management Provide service lead for clinical records management and ensure that statutory and Trust requirements for record keeping are met. Lead on complaints with the General Managers who will, co-ordinate and or draft responses and devise remedial action plans where appropriate Ensure SUIs are investigated, oversee the implementation of corrective action plans and carry out statutory reporting of radiation and other incidents Education and development Undertake annual appraisals of direct line reports within Cancer Services and ensure that a cascade system is implemented for other staff and teams Ensure that all staff have objectives and personal development plans linked to the needs of the Trust, the department and the individual. Maintain mandatory/ non mandatory training and continuing professional development to meet the requirements of the Trust and Health Professions Council Education and development Undertake annual appraisals of direct line reports within Cancer Services and ensure that a cascade system is implemented for other staff and teams Ensure that all staff have objectives and personal development plans linked to the needs of the Trust, the department and the individual Maintain mandatory/ non mandatory training and continuing professional development to meet the requirements of the Trust and Health Professions Council
