The Club provides partner companies with access to talented students, academic expertise, and collaborative research opportunities, while offering students valuable exposure to industry through placements, projects, and events.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of academia and industry, shaping meaningful partnerships that enhance student outcomes and drive innovation.
About the Role
The Industry Club Associate will play a central role in managing and developing relationships between the School of Computer Science and Industry Club partners. Acting as the main point of contact, you will ensure partners are effectively engaged and supported while identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
You will design and deliver a programme of high-quality events that support student employability, curriculum development, and research collaboration. The role also involves managing communications, maintaining partner records through a CRM system, and producing reports to evaluate the impact of Industry Club activities.
This is a dynamic and outward-facing role, requiring strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with experience in event management and stakeholder engagement. You will have:
A degree (or equivalent experience), ideally with a background in event management, higher education, or a related field
Proven experience organising and delivering events
Experience managing professional relationships and engaging with external partners
Strong networking skills and the ability to build long-term collaborations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
High levels of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database systems
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach, with the confidence to develop new ideas and initiatives
Desirable:
Knowledge of the Higher Education sector and graduate labour market
A full driving licence for attending meetings and events.
