An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon / Co-Owner position within a well-established small animal practice in a thriving suburban location on the outskirts of a major Southwest city.

This respected two-vet practice has been built over more than 30 years by its current owner, who has developed a loyal and longstanding client base and is now looking to take a step back and welcome a new clinical leader into the business. The role offers the rare chance to combine clinical leadership with genuine practice ownership potential, all while benefiting from a superb support network behind the practice.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of the clinic’s day-to-day operations, leading and inspiring the team while shaping clinical standards and driving excellence in patient care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to progress into leadership and practice ownership without feeling isolated. Extensive support is available through a collaborative partnership network, including mentorship, clinical guidance, and access to experienced professionals. Out-of-hours care is fully supported via a local emergency hub, ensuring a healthy work-life balance and strong clinical backup when needed.

Previous business ownership experience is not required. The practice is seeking a vet with strong clinical skills, ambition, leadership potential, and a vision for the future of the practice.

About the Practice

This friendly and established small animal practice is equipped with excellent onsite facilities, including:

• In-house laboratory
• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound
• Access to referral specialists when required

The practice has built an excellent reputation within the local community and continues to enjoy a loyal and growing client base.

The Ideal Candidate

• Enjoys building strong client relationships
• Is passionate about high clinical standards and patient care
• Has leadership ambitions and enjoys mentoring others
• Wants to play an active role in shaping the future of a practice
• Is interested in long-term progression and potential co-ownership

Why Join?

• Rare Lead Vet / Co-Owner opportunity
• Established client base built over 30 years
• Strong support network and mentorship
• Excellent clinical facilities
• Collaborative and friendly environment
• Genuine autonomy with ongoing support
• Well-connected suburban location with excellent transport links and access to city amenities, countryside, and coastline
