Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting the justice system? Our client, a key department within HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS), is hiring for a full-time temporary Administration Officer based in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the enforcement of fines and penalties, ensuring justice is upheld across England and Wales.
What you'll be doing:
* Handling a variety of telephone enquiries for the Criminal Fines Team with professionalism and empathy
* Creating and updating records accurately on internal systems
* Data input and management to ensure records are current and correct
* Drafting standard letters and court documents
* Assisting court users with general queries and providing excellent customer support
* Performing other administrative duties as required
* Participating in training on internal systems to enhance your skills
What you'll bring:
* Strong administration skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to follow established processes and detailed instructions
* Empathy and problem-solving skills to support customers effectively
* Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
Details:
* Location: Burnley
* Contract: 3 months with potential for extension
* Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Pay rate: £12.86 per hour rising to £13.25 after 12 working weeks
Requirements:
* Ability to follow clear processes and instructions
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Previous experience in administration or customer service is advantageous
