Clinical Deputy Manager Department Care Home Clinical Reports to Area Manager Registered Manager Direct and Indirect Reports Yes Job Grade D three Who we are At the Healthcare Management Trust we are committed to delivering innovative and high quality care services Our purpose is to make every contact count ensuring every resident and patient receives the best possible experience and outcome We place residents patients and people at the heart of everything we do We act with integrity and always do the right thing We are caring enterprising resourceful authentic and accountable What you will be doing Under the direction of the Area Manager you will lead and support the nursing and care team to deliver high standards of clinical care You will promote dignity independence rehabilitation and personal choice You will provide clinical leadership aligned with the Clinical Practice Framework ensuring safe effective caring responsive and well led care You will support daily operations compliance quality improvement and continuous development of staff You will take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Area Manager participate in on call arrangements and support hands on care when required Key responsibilities Operational Management Provide leadership to ensure high standards of care in line with CQC standards Support partnerships with external teams Oversee medication management infection control audits and quality improvement Support governance risk management and emergency planning Line Management Supervise support and develop staff Complete competency assessments and support probation Encourage learning development and performance improvement Resident and Clinical Care Ensure safe effective and person centred care Support assessments reviews and care planning Promote dignity independence and wellbeing Support safeguarding and risk management Clinical Leadership Lead audits training and development Support dementia care and rehabilitation Act as a role model and mentor Maintain professional standards and ongoing development Knowledge skills and experience Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to deliver high standards of care Understanding of safeguarding mental capacity and CQC standards Ability to analyse information and support improvement Training and qualifications Registered Nurse with active NMC registration Commitment to ongoing professional development Understanding of relevant legislation and standards General This role requires flexibility and a commitment to high standards of care All staff must follow policies procedures and maintain confidentiality while supporting a safe and respectful environment
