The Role
As a Maths ECT, you will become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking Mathematics department, delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 as you progress.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiating teaching to support students of all abilities.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, implementing strategies to raise attainment.
• Supporting a culture of high expectations and positive behaviour.
• Contributing to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.
• Fully engaging with the school’s structured ECT induction programme.

• Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has achieved a 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or a related subject.
