We are seeking a confident, skilled, and motivated Learning & Behaviour Mentor (Outreach) to deliver targeted intervention programmes across primary and secondary schools in Halifax.
This is a full-time outreach role for someone who thrives in dynamic school environments and is able to confidently deliver structured support from day one. You will work directly with students to improve engagement, learning behaviours, and cognitive development, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
- Deliver structured learning and behaviour-focused intervention programmes in schools
- Support students in developing cognitive, emotional, and learning skills
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and school staff
- Adapt delivery approaches to meet a range of learning needs and environments
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and adhere to all school protocols
- Work independently across multiple settings, managing sessions confidently and professionally
- Respond effectively to behavioural and engagement challenges
- Proven experience working within a school environment
- Strong understanding of learning, behaviour, and student development
- Solid knowledge of safeguarding and school safeguarding procedures
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Excellent communication, rapport-building, and interpersonal skills
- Highly reliable, organised, and confident working independently
- Background in education, youth work, psychology, or behaviour support
- Experience delivering interventions or targeted learning programmes
- Understanding of SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs
