Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Barras Heath, Coventry, CV2
- Weekly Pay: £480 - £525
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Long-term

Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil at a welcoming primary school in Barras Heath, Coventry. This role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP, helping to manage communication and behavioural needs, while working towards reintegration into lesson.

This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil
- Supporting a pupil with ASD and SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs)
- Using visual strategies including Now & Next boards & Makaton
- Supporting preverbal gestural language processing
- Managing behavioural needs, including hair pulling incidents
- Working towards reintegration back into phonics groups
- Building positive relationships and promoting engagement in learning
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly ASD and SLCN
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to use visual communication strategies effectively
- Experience working within a primary school setting
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Located in Barras Heath, Coventry, CV2
- 4-form entry primary academy
