Summary

Job Title: Housing Support Officer

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour + Holiday Pay

Contract Type: Temporary (Ongoing)

Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)



About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join a supportive team in Croydon. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity working with vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain tenancies and move towards independent living.



Key Responsibilities:

Provide housing-related support to clients with varying needs

Support individuals with tenancy sustainment and independent living skills

Carry out risk and needs assessments and create support plans

Liaise with external agencies including local authorities and support services

Maintain accurate case records and documentation

Promote safeguarding and ensure client wellbeing at all times

Requirements:




Previous experience in housing support, homelessness, or support work

Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment and housing pathways

Ability to manage a caseload effectively

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Enhanced DBS (preferred or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:




Experience working with rough sleepers, substance misuse, or mental health

Knowledge of Croydon housing services or similar boroughs
