Summary
1. Clinical Care Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care across a range of duties, including: Venepuncture, diagnostic tests (e.g., ECGs, cervical cytology), and specimen handling. Immunisations and vaccinations (adult, child, and travel). Wound care, dressings, and chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, respiratory conditions, hypertension). New patient checks, health assessments, and opportunistic screening. Administer medications and injections safely and effectively, following Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and practice policies. Provide holistic, patient-centered assessments, offering advice, support, and signposting to promote health and well-being.2. Team Collaboration Work closely with colleagues in a supportive and cooperative manner, contributing to a positive team dynamic. Participate in team meetings, training, and development to share knowledge and grow alongside your peers. Support junior staff where needed, fostering a culture of learning and mutual respect.3. Compliance and Quality Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in line with NMC guidelines and practice policies. Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety standards. Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and the maintenance of disease registers.4. Patient Communication Communicate clearly, kindly, and effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues, even in complex or sensitive situations.
