At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day.We're looking for a Service & Commissioning Engineer who will support our growing wastewater engineering operations by delivering high‑quality installation, servicing, commissioning and optimisation of treatment equipment across multiple UK sites.
Role Responsibilities:
-Commission wastewater treatment systems including tertiary filtration, SAF units, lamella settlers, dosing systems, and associated pump stations.
-Service and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across a variety of operational treatment sites.
-Diagnose and fault‑find on pumps, blowers, control panels, and wider process equipment.
-Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits to ensure optimum performance and system reliability.
-Support installations and upgrades of both hire and permanent wastewater treatment systems.
-Read, understand, and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
-Produce accurate site documentation including RAMS, service reports, and commissioning sheets.
-Follow all relevant health & safety legislation and internal company procedures.
-Liaise professionally with site operators, contractors, and project managers.
-Provide operational feedback to the Service Manager regarding recurring issues or improvement opportunities.
