Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, psychological, and social needs to inform occupational therapy interventions.
Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence and improve daily living skills.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and review client care and support services.
Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, families, and carers on adapting environments and activities.
Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in meaningful social and occupational activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress, assessments, and care plans in compliance with professional standards.
Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the social care system, ensuring equitable access to services and support.
Requirements
Qualification as an Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience working within a social care setting, demonstrating knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored intervention plans based on client needs.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of current occupational therapy research and methods.
