Summary
Team Support and Training: Provide on-the-floor support to resident doctors, midwives, nurses. Identify and escalate training needs observed during acute care and support the learning environment. Ensuring compliance with statutory training and local training compliance e.g. Fetal Monitoring and PROMPT. Work collaboratively with the Clinical Education supervisor for training needs. Strategic and Service Development: Engage in and lead on audits, research and quality improvement projects. Collate thematic service issues to develop service improvements. The appointee will be based at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital, but may be asked to work on the Bedford Hospital site when clinical demands requires it) and run gynaecology clinics, hysteroscopy clinics and labour wards. We are happy to support the appointee with special interest sessions.
