We're working closely with a number of secondary schools across Gosport and the surrounding areas, who are looking for graduates to join them as Cover Supervisors.
No previous experience in schools? That's completely fine.
What matters is your confidence, your ability to communicate, and your willingness to step up and lead a classroom. We'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.
You'll be stepping into classrooms to ensure learning continues when teachers are unavailable.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Supervising lessons using structured, pre-prepared materials
- Keeping students focused and engaged throughout
- Managing behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Following school policies and expectations
- Passing on feedback to teaching staff
This is a popular route for graduates considering teaching - but it's just as valuable if you're still exploring your options.
You'll gain hands-on experience, build confidence in leading groups, and develop skills that are highly transferable.
If you decide to move into teaching, we can support you with introductions to local training providers, including salaried routes to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
We see strong applications from graduates in areas such as:
- English
- Maths
- Science
- Humanities
- Sport & PE
- Psychology
But your degree subject isn't the most important thing.
We're really looking for individuals who are:
- Confident and clear communicators
- Calm under pressure
- Adaptable and quick-thinking
- Able to build rapport with young people
- Flexible work that fits around your schedule
- Opportunities in local Gosport schools
- Daily pay from £120-£130 (PAYE)
- Free training covering behaviour, SEN, and safeguarding
