Location: Milton Keynes, MK19 7BH.
Salary: £33,511.87 Per Annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (1 day remote working home per week)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
We are seeking a Records Management Specialist (Cataloguer) to work on behalf of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), supporting the preparation and management of information for transfer to The National Archives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cataloguing records, reviewing and updating entries within the online catalogue, and appraising materials to ensure their historical and administrative value is accurately captured. The role involves compiling and maintaining detailed listings of both paper and digital records, as well as verifying and checking archive inventories to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with the FCDO’s vast archive of 1.2 million files
Cataloguing paper records to National Archives standards
'Participating in the appraisal of records to National Archives standards'
Play an essential part in safeguarding public access to historical information while supporting the smooth functioning of a small, friendly, and knowledgeable team.
What We're Looking For:
MA Or Post Grad Diploma in Archives or Record Management (or currently working towards this)
Organised with great attention to detail
Experience in fast paced roles
Experience within administration roles would be beneficial
Comfortable handling evolving tasks and responsibilities
Driving license would be a plus due to the logistics of the site
