Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Kingsway Community Trust wishes to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and talented Level 1 teaching assistant to joining the Nursery team at Green End Primary School, supporting children individually and in small groups inside and outside, supporting learning, social and pastoral development. This is a temporary contract in place for one year or until the staff member returns from maternity leave, whichever is sooner.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual. They will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents. They will have some experience of working with young children.
Strong literacy skills are essential and successful completion of tests in this area is part of the interview process.
A very strong commitment to raising aspiration and attainment in an urban setting is essential.
Level 1, Grade 2 £26,016 pro rata, term time only equates to apx £21,737 per annum
Hours of work: Start time 8.30am.
Finish time – 2 days a week 3.30pm
2 days a week 4.00pm
1 day a week (Tuesday) 4.45pm to attend staff meetings. 40 minute unpaid lunch break daily
First stage assessment: 1 June 2026
Second stage assessment/interview: 3 June
