Maltby Learning Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Principal at Wath Academy, part of Maltby Learning Trust.
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a school that has undergone significant transformation and now stands as a strong and ambitious Academy within Maltby Learning Trust.
About the Role
Wath Academy is a large, vibrant 11-18 secondary school serving the community of Wath-upon-Dearne and beyond. As part of Maltby Learning Trust, a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust, we benefit from close professional collaboration, shared expertise and a collective commitment to improving life chances for all children across our communities.
Core Purpose of the Role
• Lead the delivery of an exceptional, ambitious and inclusive curriculum that enables every young person to achieve highly and go on to live successful and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure that barriers to learning, including those linked to social disadvantage, are systematically removed so that all students have equitable opportunities and choices.
• Further establish the Academy as a force for good within its community, championing the power of education to drive social mobility and long-term community transformation.
• Inspire, develop and empower staff to deliver consistently high standards, fostering a culture where all colleagues feel valued and committed to making a meaningful difference.
