Maternity Cover – Ancaster Church of England Primary School
Main Scale teacher – Foundation Stage Specialist – Salary range M1 £32916 to M6 £45352
Required for September 2026
An exciting opportunity to work within a single age group, EYFS class has arisen due to a maternity leave. The Governors are seeking to appoint a temporary EYFS specialist teacher for a September 2026 start.
We are looking for EYFS Teachers who is passionate about providing children with the best start in school life and will relish the chance to continue to help shape provision in our school.
You will have an excellent understanding of foundational knowledge and how to ensure it is embedded in Early Years. You will create a high quality, stimulating learning environment that ensures there is a wide range of EYFS provision. Outdoor learning is central to our EYFS class, and you will have the opportunity to think creatively and create a learning environment that meets the specific needs of our new cohort of children. High quality communication and an ability to foster oracy skills in all children through classroom talk will be key to your success. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team, keen to help you achieve excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high quality lessons and adult lead activities Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues Provide clear direction to teaching assistants supporting the class Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment including outdoor provision Support all children’s needs including academic and social and emotional development. Assessment of baseline and Early Learning Goals
You will need: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience in Early Years education A commitment to supporting SEND and vulnerable children A nurturing, patient, inclusive environment A desire to support and contribute to the Christian ethos of a church school Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
