Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Woodthorpe Primary School is looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of outstanding practice, to the role of Phase Leader.

As Phase Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the school’s key stage curriculum, delivering high-quality exemplar teaching and effective use of resources. You will work to improve learning standards and achievement for all pupils, contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planning, whilst also carrying out duties as a classroom teacher. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing staff within the phase, and will offer guidance and support to teaching staff; modelling excellent teaching and learning and showcasing up-to-date knowledge of current theory and practice.

If you are an outstanding classroom practitioner, and you’re now looking to take next steps into middle leadership, then this role is ideal for you. We strive to empower our children with knowledge, ambition and self-belief, inspiring them to reach their full potential - if this aligns with your personal philosophies, we could be the school for you. With the support of the experienced and welcoming leadership team, you will contribute to strategic decision making, to help shape the school’s vision for the future.

If you can help us on our journey, and want to make a difference, we look forward to hearing from you.

Visits to the school are highly recommended but not essential. If you wish to visit the school, our Head of School, Mrs Grason-Taylor would be happy to accommodate you on Tuesday 5th of May at 2pm or our Vice Principal, Helen Elsworth would be happy to guide your visit on Thursday 7th May at 4pm. Please contact admin@woodthorpe.elt.org.uk to register your interest.
