Summary
Main Duties & Responsibilities Conduct NHS health checks Urinalysis and preparation of specimens for investigation by the pathology laboratory Blood Pressures 24hr ECG 24hr BP Undertake venepuncture for adults Wound care/removal of sutures/dressing procedures following local recommendations and using aseptic techniques Stocking measuring Administration of B12 Administer the influenza, shingles and pneumococcal vaccine Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being Performance & Quality Information Ensure that accurate and up-to-date documentation (electronic and paper-based) is maintained to support performance standards across all performance-based activity, including QOF and Enhanced Services Assist in the production of information required for clinical audit Undertake ad-hoc tasks related to practice performance as directed by the practice manager
