Summary
Job TitleHealthcare Assistant Reporting toLead Practice Nurse, Practice Manager & Partners Hours18 hours per week DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain stock levels and stock rotation as agreed with the practice nurses Take and record blood pressures Perform ECGs as required Perform venepuncture for patients Carry out NHS health checks Perform anticoagulation blood tests and dosing with INRstar (training will be provided) Process urine specimens Perform other clinical tasks as trained and agreed to meet the needs of the practice Assist doctor with minor ops and coil fittings respond to patients enquiries and requests while adhering to Practice limitations Maintain equipment, arrange servicing and repair WORKING RELATIONSHIPS All Burwell Surgery staff, community teams, suppliers and patients. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Company policies and procedure - To adhere to Burwell Surgery agreed policies and procedures. Complete required training and development activities. Lone Working - You may have to work alone, and therefore you are required to adhere to the relevant lone working policy. Risk Management - All members of staff have a responsibility to report all clinical and non-clinical accidents or incidents promptly and when requested to, co-operate with any investigation undertaken.
