Are you a proactive and reliable team player ready to take the next step in your leisure management career? We are seeking an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our joint management team across two busy facilities: John Warner Sports Centre and Laura Trott Leisure Centre.
In this role, you will lead and motivate teams to deliver exceptional customer service, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency across both sites.
Key responsibilities:
• Open and close the facilities as required
• Lead, supervise, and support teams across different departments
• Maintain strong product knowledge and effectively use operational systems
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
• Carry out a range of administrative tasks
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
About you:
The successful candidate will ideally hold, or be willing to work towards, the following qualifications:
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Pool Plant Operator (PPO) certification
• First Aid at Work
You must be confident with communicating with members of the public and able to provide clear advice in fluent English.
This role involves a varied shift pattern, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
Please note: This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, as it involves working with children and vulnerable individuals.
