Summary

About Us

At HRN, we’re one of Scotland’s leading dealers of construction, agricultural and groundcare machinery, with over 45 years of experience and a proud reputation for quality, reliability, and trusted service. We operate across multiple depots and pride ourselves on delivering machinery that looks as good as it performs.

We are now looking for a Valeter to join our team, ensuring that our machinery is cleaned, prepared, and presented to the highest standards. This role is key to maintaining HRN’s reputation for professionalism and quality.

About the Role

As Valeter, you will be responsible for preparing machinery for customer delivery and showroom display. You’ll take pride in producing a high-quality finish, keeping our equipment and working areas clean, tidy, and safe. You’ll also support the wider service and yard teams with general duties when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and valet machinery to company standards, both externally and internally.
Use pressure washers, cleaning products, and tools safely and effectively.
Carry out pre-delivery cleaning and finishing of new and used machinery.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe valeting area, including cleaning equipment and storage spaces.
Inspect machines for visible damage or defects during the valeting process and report findings to the Service Manager.
Assist in moving machinery around the yard or into the showroom as required.
Support the workshop and yard teams with general duties when necessary.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a valeting, detailing, or cleaning role desirable but not essential — full training can be provided.
Attention to detail and pride in delivering a high-quality finish.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good understanding of cleaning products, tools, and techniques (preferred).
Physical fitness to carry out manual tasks, including working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Full driving licence essential; telehandler or forklift licence desirable.
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help in other areas when needed.
