Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich, the role will be out working across the stock of Weaver Vale Housing Trust’s core locations: Warrington and Cheshire.

The Opportunity
Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career with a great company. We are looking for an experienced landscaper, flagger and fencer who enjoys working outdoors and is driven, diligent, and friendly to join our Open Space Team. You will be working in domestic properties, and it is essential that you work within the values of the Trust and can communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues. You should be comfortable working as part of a team, be flexible to the demands of the role but have the confidence to manage your own time and use your own initiative.
What Will You Do?
As Trades Plus Operative, you will:
• Carry out all aspects of groundwork and external repairs such as flagging, fencing, concreting, drainage and garden clearances.
• Work safely as part of a team across all of the Trusts external areas including customers gardens and communal open spaces.
• Drive a work vehicle and operate machinery.
The working week will consist of 40 hours, and these hours will be worked between the hours of 08:30 am and 5pm Monday to Friday. In addition, you will be required to participate in the Trust callout rota and work within a 30-mile radius of Gadbrook Point, Northwich.
Minimum Requirements For This Role*
• A current and valid driving licence.
• A recognised trade apprenticeship or qualification to City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent standard
• Working in domestic or commercial environment for building works
• General ground works and landscaping - including flagging, fencing, drainage, concreting
• Ability to work in a role that includes undertaking physical tasks outdoors and operating a range of equipment and machinery
This role will require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
