Summary

Cleaning Working Team Leader
HMP Wymott – Leyland (PR26 8LW)
£28,792 per year
39 hours | Monday–Friday | 06:00–15:00 (early finish at 14:00 every Friday)



Local role. No weekends. Early finishes. Stable employer.



Amey is looking for a Cleaning Working Team Leader to join our on‑site team at HMP Wymott, just outside Leyland. This is a permanent, Monday–Friday role with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.

If you live in Leyland, Preston, Chorley or surrounding areas, this is a great opportunity to step into a stable leadership role close to home.

The role:
Supervise and support a team of on‑site cleaners
Lead by example and maintain high cleaning standards
Carry out audits and follow up on actions
Manage stock, consumables and equipment
Work safely and compliantly (H&S, COSHH, RAMS)
We’re looking for:
Previous cleaning supervisor or team leader experience
Reliable, organised and confident supporting a team
Experience on large or busy sites (FM background ideal)
Comfortable working in a secure prison environment
IOSH / BICSc desirable, but not essential
