This Geography Teacher role offers the opportunity to join a supportive and well‑established secondary school on a full‑time, one‑year contract. Duties as Geography Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach a broad and balanced Geography curriculum aligned with national expectations
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
  • Maintain clear behaviour expectations and classroom routines
  • Work collaboratively with the humanities department and wider staff team
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography
  • Confident classroom management and clear communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
  • Willingness to commit to a full‑time, one‑year contract
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
