Summary
MadiganGill's are looking for Senior Site Manager's based in and around Cambridge on behalf of our client.
Role Overview
The Senior Site Manager is responsible for leading the on-site delivery of large-scale residential developments, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining compliance with company procedures and UK building regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations on housing developments from inception to completion
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate site teams including assistant managers and subcontractors
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety standards and company policies
- Monitor build programmes and drive progress to meet deadlines
- Maintain high-quality construction standards and manage inspections/snagging
- Control site budgets, materials, and resource allocation efficiently
- Liaise with internal departments, clients, local authorities, and NHBC inspectors
- Produce regular progress reports and attend senior management meetings
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager within a volume housebuilder
- Strong knowledge of NHBC standards, UK building regulations, and H&S legislation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple phases of residential developments
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid; NVQ Level 6+ desirable)
