Summary


An opportunity has arisen for an organised and experienced Facilities Manager to join the team.

Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance of a wide range of hard and soft contracted facilities management services ensuring practices are in-line with Trust specification and current legislation. You will have extensive experience across the whole range of estates and facilities duties including minor capital projects.

• Be the main point of contact for all queries relating to operational Estates and Facilities issues relating to your sites.
• To effectively manage the day-to-day performance of the contractors providing Estates and Facilities management services. This will involve the co-ordination of services as well as expertise in maintaining uniform and safe standards across all locations, while at the same time allowing scope for local needs and conditions.
• Ensure that rigorous scheduled service monitoring, management and review arrangements are in place, and that remedial actions are identified and undertaken where necessary.
• Inspect all properties as required to ensure that soft and hard facilities services are carried out in line with contract specifications. This will involve liaising with ward staff and clients to ensure access to patient bedrooms and clinical areas.
• Actively manage asset registers, ensuring they are up to date and relevant to the post holders' sites.

• To assist with gathering and collation of information for statutory returns including ERIC, PLACE, PAM and CQC.
• To assist and participate in the cyclical market testing of Estates and Facilities operational services. This includes review of service specifications, collating site related information, arranging and co ordinating bidder sites visits and being part of the evaluation and mobilisation panel.
• Establish and chair meetings. Take minutes and ensure action notes are updated and distributed.
• Prepare standing operational procedures (SOPS) and operational manuals to ensure relevant and up to date information is available to building stakeholders.
• To manage the small works for lifecycle replacements, compliance works, furniture and equipment replacements etc. This includes the preparation of briefs and specifications, obtaining of quotes, requesting capital funding, and supervising contractors to ensure works are completed to the required standards.
• To arrange office moves to facilitate cyclical decorations and small service moves.
• Develop and implement up to date Business continuation plans for sites allocated to the post holder.
• Co ordinating, auditing and submission of the annual ligature risk assessments and preparation of relevant action plans to ensure a safe environment for clients.
• Ensure that the facilities function is managed within agreed delegated budgets, ensuring efficient and effective systems and procedures to enable close monitoring.
• To ensure the Trusts estate and environments are maintained in a safe and secure fashion to an optimal state of repair, within agreed budget and corporate planning constraints.
