Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school team in Bromsgrove.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be confident in adapting their approach to meet individual learning styles and needs.
You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. The role plays a key part in helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Assist with behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual pupil needs and abilities
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in their approach
- Experienced in working with children or young people with SEND
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Committed to making a positive difference in pupils' lives
- Able to work effectively as part of a supportive team
