We are currently recruiting for a highly organised and reliable Administrative Assistant to join our Eastbourne office. This is a varied and fast-paced role, supporting both clients and the internal professional team.

The ideal candidate will be methodical, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure, with strong communication and IT skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing general administrative and secretarial support, including typing and preparing correspondence
  • Uploading client documents and correspondence to internal systems (e.g. Openspace)
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Chasing clients for information and arranging appointments
  • Liaising with external bodies including HMRC
  • Supporting new client onboarding processes, including:
  • Client ID verification
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance
  • Preparing Letters of Engagement
  • Maintaining the client database
  • Managing disengagement procedures when required
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and updating the IRIS database
  • Assisting with billing processes and credit control
  • Supporting internal compliance and administrative processes

What We're Looking For:

  • Numerate (minimum GCSE Maths or equivalent)
  • Previous relevant administrative experience required
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work methodically and maintain concentration
  • Calm and professional approach under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable and proactive team player

Working Pattern:

  • Full-time, office-based role in Eastbourne
  • Standard hours: 09:00-17:30 with 1-hour lunch
  • Flexibility in start/finish times may be available after successful completion of the 6-month probation period (subject to business needs)
