Concept Resources are recruiting for an experienced NRSWA Inspector to support West Northamptonshire Council on a temporary vacant post cover assignment.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting street works, road works and reinstatements to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act, council standards and relevant highway legislation.
Key Duties
Carry out inspections of street works, highway works and reinstatements.
Ensure works are completed safely and to the required specification.
Identify non-compliance and raise defects where required.
Liaise with utility companies, contractors and internal council teams.
Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
Support the council in managing disruption, safety and quality across the highway network.
Requirements
Previous experience in an NRSWA / Street Works Inspector role.
Strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act.
Knowledge of highway maintenance, reinstatement standards and permit schemes.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
