We are now looking for a DVA Support Worker to join us on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week), for a six-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. The expected start date is late June to early July 2026.

The Role

As a DVA Support Worker, you will provide safe, empowering, and person-centred support to women and their children affected by domestic abuse, either in their home or refuge setting.

Managing your own designated caseload, you will deliver tailored support through risk assessments, safety planning and individual support plans, while providing guidance around housing, welfare, legal rights, and access to health and specialist services.

Alongside this, you will oversee referrals and inductions, support resettlement and move-on planning, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure each user receives the right support at the right time.

Additionally, you will:

- Support access to healthcare, education, training and employment
- Monitor rent accounts and support arrears management
- Manage voids and respond to breaches of licence agreements
- Report repairs and support property maintenance
- Maintain accurate records and ensure GDPR compliance
- Support and develop volunteers and new team members

About You

To be considered as a DVA Support Worker, you will need:

- At least one year’s experience supporting adults with complex needs, ideally within a domestic abuse setting
- Experience undertaking assessments, including risk assessments, and developing support plans
- An understanding of domestic abuse frameworks and approaches (e.g. MARAC, safeguarding)
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to maintain accurate records and produce reports
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A proactive and organised approach to managing workload
