Summary

Personal Assistant to a Disabled Child-AS
2 Buddies required to support 14 year old boy 2:1 for 4 hours per week days to be mutually agreed. Support will be to access activities.

Salary £12.71 Per Hour.
Location Ross on Wye
Hours 4 hours each 2:1

About Me

I live with my family in Ross on Wye I have an LD and am on the Autistic Spectrum. I enjoy going out for walks and to go to places like soft play. When at home I love playing with Phone etc however my Dad likes to limit my time on electronic devices.

Job details

Your role will be to support me to go out and about.
I have no concept of danger so will talk to anyone and can run when distressed.
There may be some aspects of personal care
About You

Previous experience of similar work is desirable,
You must be patient and calm as well as being firm but fair
You will need to be a car driver/owner and be physically fit enough to chase me if I run.
About Direct Payments

Direct payments are available from Local Authorities for people who have a care and support plan in place following a social care assessment. An amount of money is allocated to purchase the assistance and care needed to live independently.

I should stress that I will be your employer and have full responsibility for recruitment, contracts, supervision, pay, training etc. A support service assists my Dad in meeting his responsibilities as an employer.
