Reporting to: Service Manager
The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with contractual, clinical, and statutory requirements. The role involves leading a team to deliver effective support services while maintaining best practice standards and promoting organisational values.
Service Delivery & Quality
- Ensure the development and delivery of the service meets contractual requirements
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice within the service
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
- Monitor and meet quality assurance and performance targets
- Ensure accurate record keeping, data collection, and reporting
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the team
- Manage staff performance through supervision, coaching, and development reviews
- Conduct inductions and ongoing support for team members
- Identify and address underperformance, supporting the Service Manager with performance management processes
- Assist with recruitment of staff and volunteers
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with commissioners and external service providers
- Represent the organisation and promote its services and values
Operational & Financial Management
- Support the management of the service budget
- Ensure effective resource allocation within the service
Professional Practice & Development
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the alcohol, drug, and gambling fields
- Participate in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and relevant events
