Summary

Title: Team Leader

Pay Rate: £20 per hour

Reporting to: Service Manager

Role Purpose

The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with contractual, clinical, and statutory requirements. The role involves leading a team to deliver effective support services while maintaining best practice standards and promoting organisational values.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Quality

  • Ensure the development and delivery of the service meets contractual requirements
  • Maintain high standards of clinical practice within the service
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
  • Monitor and meet quality assurance and performance targets
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, data collection, and reporting

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the team
  • Manage staff performance through supervision, coaching, and development reviews
  • Conduct inductions and ongoing support for team members
  • Identify and address underperformance, supporting the Service Manager with performance management processes
  • Assist with recruitment of staff and volunteers

Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with commissioners and external service providers
  • Represent the organisation and promote its services and values

Operational & Financial Management

  • Support the management of the service budget
  • Ensure effective resource allocation within the service

Professional Practice & Development

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the alcohol, drug, and gambling fields
  • Participate in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and relevant events
