Summary

Help people out of homelessness by joining our Social Enterprise team as our new Driver and Warehouse Lead. If you can drive a Luton van and have the skills to manage daily warehouse logistics, we would love to hear from you.

About the role
The new Driver and Warehouse Lead will focus on our house clearance and furniture moving service. You will work closely with the Retail and Ebay Sales Lead to deliver a consistent flow of stock for our reuse shops and online business, by efficiently publicising, coordinating and managing our house clearance service and other opportunities for stock acquisition, alongside generating income through our MoveIt! offering. You’ll also oversee the recycling or clearing of items that we cannot use elsewhere in our enterprises. You will drive our vans and assist in training and assessing volunteers and companions to drive for Emmaus.

About our charity
At Emmaus Bristol we provide a home, support, training and work experience to formerly homeless individuals (known at Emmaus as companions). We fund our work in part through two shops selling second hand goods, a house clearance/ furniture moving service and our eBay shop. The Driver and Warehouse Lead will work with our Reuse Manager to focus on the house clearance and furniture moving elements. Unlike many other charities, Emmaus Bristol’s trading is primary purpose. This means that the work-based roles provided for companions in our enterprises are a vitally important source of support in their recovery from homelessness.

If you're interested in the role but don't tick every box on the job specification, we'd still love to hear from you if you have some relevant experience and passion and energy for our cause.

Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week to be worked between 8am - 6pm, mainly Monday to Friday. This role will work alternate Saturdays with a day off in lieu the following week.

Application process: Applications must be made using the application form on our website by midnight on Sunday 31 May 2026. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 June at our office in Stokes Croft.

The contract for the role is until 30 June 2028.
