Summary

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll play a vital role in managing the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems within water construction projects. This is an opportunity to ensure that all electrical works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry regulations and project specifications. You'll be working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, supporting our commitment to delivering innovative solutions for our clients.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be working within the water construction team, supporting them in delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical systems.
Your day to day will include:
-Leading electrical input from scheme inception, capturing operational requirements, asset standards, power resilience needs, and defining clear electrical scope through to concept design
-Developing and delivering the power and connections strategy, managing engagement with distribution network operators, supply upgrades, outages, and standby requirements
-Owning and managing electrical design delivery, ensuring compliant outputs through all design stages to project completion
-Providing site-based technical support during construction, resolving technical queries, and ensuring compliance with specifications and drawings
-Leading electrical testing and commissioning activities, coordinating integrated testing to achieve safe and compliant system energisation
What are we looking for?
This role of Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:
-You have experience in electrical engineering within water construction or a related industry
-You hold a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a related field
-You have a strong understanding of electrical system design, installation, and commissioning processes
-You possess knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including BS 7671, IEC, and health and safety requirements
-You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
